Responsibilities

DataStage Developer will work closely with clients ETL team and provide expert knowledge and solutions on Data Warehousing, ensuring delivery of business needs in a timely cost-effective manner

• Review requirements and generate S-T mapping document

• Translate S-T mapping into technical design using Information Server Edition functionality and other capabilities

• Develop and unit test documented ETL design specifications using Information Server Edition

• Assist in defining a test plan for functional/quality assurance testing of ETL workflows

• Review ETL workflow design and development for compliance to development standards

• Collaborate with architects and subject-matter experts to design comprehensive solution

• Experienced in applying data warehouse development life-cycle/methodology

• Advise on best practices for working with source and target using Information Server Edition

• Support for documentation, and rollout

• Mentor junior developers at client site

Required

• DataStage Server, Enterprise Edition v 8.5 experience

• Experience generating and interpreting mapping documentation, and translating into detailed design specifications and ETL code.

• Ability to understand and set appropriate priorities while meeting deadlines

• Experience with SDLC methodologies

• Excellent client management skills

• Excellent communication skills

Desired

• 7 years IT experience with 3 years' experience in consulting

• 5+ years development experience using IBM WebSphere

• Detail-oriented individual, willing and capable of functioning as sole subject matter expert

• Ability to work well in a team environment

Good to have:

• Experience with Teradata database, tools and utilities

• Experience working on Mainframe
